GENERAL

1) The contest is open to all Retra Flash users, except for Retra UWT employees and all persons directly associated with the organization.

2) The theme of this Retra Flash Underwater Photography Contest is Wide angle with diver. Any wide angle photograph containing a diver. Silhouette, close up, or creative capture are allowed.

3) By taking part in the Retra Flash Underwater Photography Contest, all participants consent to us collecting, storing and using their photographs for the purposes of promotion.

4) By entering the Retra Flash Underwater Photography Contest you agree to the terms and conditions listed on this website.

5) Retra UWT reserves the right to exclude any entries which are believed to be inappropriate, fraudulent or based on misconduct.

6) The Retra Flash Underwater Photography Contest is organized and sponsored by Retra UWT, Ltd., Spodnje Gameljne 36a, SI-1211 Ljubljana - Šmartno, Slovenia (EU), and is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram.

7) This contest is subject to Instagram’s terms of services which can be found at: https://instagram.com/about/legal/terms/

8) The Retra Flash Underwater Photography Contest is considered an unofficial contest. This means that any photograph that wins in this contest remains eligible for entry into official contests.

9) Retra UWT does not accept responsibility for entries that are lost, damaged or delayed. For example, as a result of network, system development, computer or telecommunications failures or fault of any kind - including any hardware, programming code, databases or software used in the contest.

10) The decisions of Retra UWT are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

11) Participants who have won a prize in any of the Retra Flash Underwater Photography Contests cannot be chosen again as the winning finalists for 12 months from the date of previously being announced as the prize winners.

HOW TO ENTER CONTEST

12) To participate in the Retra Flash Underwater Photography Contest, applicants must post their entry photograph on their Instagram profile with the following hashtag: #retradiver

*Double-check the spelling of the hashtag before posting entry photograph!

13) Photographs NOT submitted in the manner mentioned in section 12) will be considered invalid and will not be accepted into the contest.

14) Each participant is allowed to enter only ONE photograph. In the event of multiple entries being received from the same Instagram account, the aforementioned entries will be considered INVALID.

PHOTOGRAPH GUIDELINES

15) The photograph submitted must be your own original work. If plagiarism is discovered, the participant in question will be disqualified from this contest and all future contests organized by Retra UWT.

16) The photograph submitted must be taken with any of the Retra Flash models. The flashgun model and snoot device model (if applicable) will need to be provided in the event that your entry photograph is chosen as one of the finalists.

17) All photographs entered into the contest must be taken underwater (split-level images are permitted as long as a part of the image is underwater).

18) The subject or subjects in the photograph must not have been manipulated or harmed as a result of taking the photograph, in any way.

19) While we do allow post-processing of the entered photographs (cropping, photoshop, etc.), heavily and/or obviously edited photographs will have a significantly lower chance to be considered as the winning photograph.

20) You may enter a photograph that has previously won in an underwater photography contest / competition.

PRIZE DETAILS

21) The winning prize of the contest is a Retra UWT voucher that can be used in the Retra UWT Global Shop. The prize is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part. The contest voucher expires after 1 year from the date it was issued. The voucher is transferable.

- Finalist prize = 100,00 USD Retra UWT voucher / each

- Runner-up prize = 50,00 USD Retra UWT voucher / each

- People's Choice prize = +100,00 USD Retra UWT voucher / each

22) The photograph chosen as the winner by public vote will receive a bonus 100 USD Retra UWT voucher in addition to their winning prize, listed above.

23) Retra UWT reserves the right to provide an alternative prize of equal or greater value in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

SUBMISSION PERIOD

24) The submission period for the Retra Flash Underwater Photography Contest starts on 04.10.2023, 12:00 pm CEST and ends on 11.10.2023, 12:00 pm CEST.

25) Any photographs submitted after the end of submission date will NOT be accepted into the contest.

HOW TO WIN THE CONTEST

26) After the submission period ends, Retra UWT will choose up to 8 photographs that will be awarded with the Retra UWT voucher.

27) The chosen photographs (also finalists) will be announced on the Retra UWT Instagram profile after the submission period ends.

28) After the finalists have been announced and featured on the Retra UWT Instagram profile. The public will be able to vote for the winners of the contest by liking the corresponding post.

29) The public voting period will start on 18.10.2023 and end on 23.10.2023, 12:00 pm CEST.

30) The photographs with the most likes will be considered as the "People's Choice" and will receive an additional 100 USD Retra UWT voucher as the prize.

HOW TO CLAIM THE PRIZE

31) Participants chosen as the winners of the contest, will be contacted via Instagram, after the submission period ends. We will ask you to confirm that the photograph follows the Retra Flash Underwater Photography Contest rules and does not violate the terms & conditions of the contest. You will also be asked to send a high resolution version of the entered photograph for promotional purposes.

32) If the participant does not confirm that the entered photograph follows the rules and does not violate the terms & conditions of the contest, or if the finalist does not respond within the announced timeline, a new winner will be chosen by Retra UWT.

33) To claim their prize, winners of the contest will need to provide their contact information (email) as instructed at the time of being announced as the winners. Further details will be provided by Retra UWT, as to how to claim the prize.
